One of the specific goals of the Association deriving from the founding Declaration is to use publicity as one of the means towards instilling and nurturing an increased environmental consciousness throughout the industry. The targeted audiences have expanded to cover Maritime Academies, Universities and Colleges as well as Organizations with similar aims from all over the world. 

The Maritime Training Center participates in Conferences organized in Greece and abroad apart from exhibiting its proactive initiatives in maritime exhibitions to which HELMEPA is offered a stand.

The most important of all exhibitions is that of "Posidonia", which takes place in Greece every second year.
