The new Training Program continues with record participation

For over 38 years the training activity of HELMEPA constitutes a voluntary contribution of experience and know-how of our Members for the benefit of all, ie the prevention of pollution and marine accidents through the nurturing of environmental awareness and a safety spirit "from shipowner to last seafarer”.

We are therefore extremely satisfied to note that the new 2021 Training Program has attracted the interest of member managing companies, with participation exceeding all expectations. Specifically, since the beginning of the year, the 4 two-day and three-day webinars on Safety First, Compliance with New Environmental Regulations, Preparing for PSC Inspections and Emergency Preparedness and Response were attended by 660 seafarers and office staff of 42 companies, who received Certificate of Attendance from HELMEPA’s Maritime Training Center. The wide participation of non-Greek crews is also an important new feature of this year’s program as the webinars are also held in English, upon the initiative of the Board of Directors.

In this joint effort, we have once again the full support of our Members, managing companies, classification societies, P&I Clubs and other collaborating bodies that offer their expert staff as the Program’s lectures:
