Visual art competition for students of GYMNASIUM & LYCEUM
"Big Blue: The World Yet to Be Discovered"

REGISTER YOUR PARTICIPATION UNTIL MONDAY 31 MARCH 2025
The Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association - HELMEPA, one of the most historic environmental organizations in Greece for clean and healthy seas, invites students of Gymnasium & Lyceum (A' B' C') to participate in the 3rd Nationwide Visual Art Competition themed: "Big Blue: The World Yet to Be Discovered".
Two (2) artworks will be awarded:
-
1 artwork by a Lyceum student that will "dress" HELMEPA's new thermos, including the name of the artist
-
1 artwork by a Gymnasium student to dress the new HELMEPA multi-purpose bag, including the name of the artist
All artworks meeting the competition’s criteria may be included in a group exhibition titled "Ocean Aware Through Artivism" and showcased on HELMEPA’s social media channels and website.
CONDITIONS & TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PROJECT

They must be from Gymnasium & Lyceum students

It should be a painting, a photograph, a collage, a slogan, anything that strengthens HELMEPA's action for the protection of the seas

They must be unique, one from each participant
-
They must be in horizontal A3 format (42x29,7 cm)

Scanned file: PDF or JPEG with 300 DPI resolution and high quality
-
To be accompanied by the appropriate Declaration of Responsibility
a) for participants under 18 years of age (completed by a parent/guardian) or
b) for participants over 18 years of age (completed by a student)
SUBMISSION OF ARTWORKS BOTH IN ELECTRONIC FORMAT AND HARD COPY
Electronic submission: A scanned version of the artwork, along with the appropriate declaration form (for participants under or over 18), must be uploaded here.
Physical submission: The original artwork must be sent to HELMEPA’s offices at the following address: HELMEPA, 7 Ymittou Street, 17564 Palaio Faliro – Athens, Greece, with a postmark no later than 31/03/2025:
