🏆 HELMEPA Honored with Biodiversity Award

HELMEPA was distinguished at the Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2025, organized by QualityNet Foundation ACTIVE CITIZENS NETWORK (ENVIRONMENT pillar, Biodiversity category).

Our work is participatory and collective.

It reflects upon our 378 member-companies and to our 1,000,000+ volunteers, young and old, who have transformed the vision of clean seas into action by implementing—among other initiatives—more than 5,400 coastal and underwater cleanups. It reflects upon HELMEPA’s team, who passionately serve the mission to save our seas.

In 2025 alone, we implemented 536 cleanup initiatives across the country, with the participation of over 23,000 volunteers, including 16,000 children, alongside our beloved Seagull mascot and its timeless message:

🕊️ "No litter, no plastics in our seas and on our shores!"

The award was accepted on behalf of the HELMEPA team by Stathis Kostakopoulos, Head of Environmental Sector, and Nefeli Zervou, Environmental Projects’ Manager.
